What is the real difference between

Coaching

&

Therapy?

Coaching is not therapy. My coaching services are designed to help you build strong skills, clarify goals, and create practical action plans related to your relationships, communication, performance, and personal priorities including but not limited to money, emotional nervous system regulation, verbal & non-verbal communication, which includes intimacy, sexual & physical connection with another.

Coaching does not involve diagnosis, clinical treatment, or the management of mental health conditions, which many professionals & organizations specifically seek out for additional support. If your goals require clinical care, I will recommend appropriate licensed mental health support in an area closest to you.

Confidentiality differs by service. Therapy and coaching follow different documentation and privacy practices, which follow different legal and ethical considerations. Please submit the Coaching pre-screener and review the specific service agreement plans for further details about which service is right for you.

Scope and safety come first. If there are safety concerns or indications that clinical treatment is needed, I will help you transition to the appropriate level of care to receive the right mental health services for your needs no matter what. Your health comes first and foremost.

Therapy is licensed clinical care. Therapy services are provided by me as a licensed clinician (I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California & Pennsylvania) & focuses on clinical assessment, managing mental health symptoms, and treatment to improve one’s optimal health & relationship health.

Coaching is not therapy or clinical treatment. If you need diagnosis or clinical care, I’ll help you find the right next step and if we are a good fit, it could be me if you are residing in California and or Pennsylvania.

What Relationship Coaching Helps You Do Better

In coaching, we focus on performance, clarity, and follow through- without sacrificing emotional safety and connection by:

  • Clear agreements you can actually follow

  • Communication tools that work under stress

  • Emotion regulation strategies that reduce blowups and shutdowns

  • Repair plans that bring you back quicker after rupture

  • Decision-making structures that stop repeating the same fights

Relationship Coaching for ADD/ADHD Couples & Individuals

ADHD/ADD can turn love into a loop: good intentions, overwhelm, forgetfulness, inconsistent execution, and conflict that escalates fast. It also can help you to be a superhuman with your self-reliance and the belief system that you can accomplish anything and you have to rely only on yourself, which is both a strength and negative for entrepreneurs and creative minds.

Coaching helps you build an ADHD-compatible systems for success:

  • Communication that stays short, specific, and repair-focused first‍ ‍

  • Trigger mapping (what starts the cycle—and how to interrupt it)

  • Executive-function support (routines, handoffs, follow-through)

  • Conflict agreements that prevent “spiral conversations”

Medication Management Coaching

Research demonstrates that medications works the best when it is paired with real support. I use an eclectic mix of coaching including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Reprocessing and Internal Family Systems Parts Work. I am also influenced by the Polyvagal & Somatic healing theories. I authentically listen to you & we will be working collaboratively to address your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and sensations in your nervous system’s responses in relation to stress.

We will explore what is getting in the way of your healing and how best you can become unstuck. We can also take a look at intergenerational trauma or inherited trauma and the use of the power of ancestral healing. We will work together to empower you by building awareness, insight and developing coping strategies. Issues live in the tissues and feeling leads to healing!

Considering medications can be a tough decision, whether it be starting, stopping, increasing them or weaning off. Sometimes self-help only goes so far in providing relief and sometimes medications can serve a higher purpose for you or it's time to try to wean off of them.

Together, we will explore your values, needs and thoughts surrounding medications and make an informed decision that's right for you. Taking medications doesn't have to be forever - it can be a temporary tool to help you through a rough patch and enable you to benefit more fully from self-care.

I'm here to support you every step of the way.

I use natural supplements to support your treatment which can allow us to use fewer medications for a shorter time, or be able to use lower doses.

I have supported relationships to have less contempt and resentment (often that shows up as shame, blame, guilt, and or inner or outward criticism) which results in fewer emotional shutdowns (also known as stonewalling or ice outs) resulting in feeling a real partnership and teamwork mentality within self and relationships.

Relationship Coaching for Psychedelics/MDMA Integration

Psychedelic or MDMA experiences can shift perspective—but integration is where the real deep work begins: translating insight into daily life, relationship behaviors, boundaries, and emotional stability.

Coaching supports integration through practical steps:

  • Aftercare communication plans

  • Values-to-actions translation (“what changes now?”)

  • Repair and expectations (because revelations don’t equal consistent follow-through)

  • Consent-forward intimacy conversations

  • Pacing and emotional safety between partners

Psychedelic experiences can be transformative and confusing. If you have had a psychedelic experience in the past or in the future, I can help you explore the insights and challenges that emerged during your experience, and work with you to integrate those learnings into your life in a meaningful way. It is important to note that I do not currently provide or facilitate the use of psychedelic substances in my practice, but rather focus on supporting individuals in the integration and processing of their experiences.

Spirituality

Spirituality can play an important part of your well-being. I see spirituality as a broad and inclusive concept, encompassing beliefs and practices that give meaning and purpose to life. I also understand that spirituality or even religion can be a source of conflict and distress for some folks. Religious trauma, religious resentments, spiritual bypassing, spiritual materialism and spiritual consumerism can show up as well. In addition, you might had a spiritual belief as a child, but struggle now, you might be angry with 'God' or maybe you don't have any relationship with a concept greater than yourself.

You might consider yourself an atheist or agnostic. You might deny the existence of God, are unsure, search for proof or may not be concerned about these matters. I provide support and guidance as you navigate through these challenges and to gain a healthy relationship with spirituality and/or religion. Interestedly, research has shown that having a deep connection to a loving presence whether it be called 'God, Allah, Unconditional Love, Great Mystery, Creative Intelligence, Spirit of the Universe' is beneficial to one's mental health. Ultimately, my goal is to support you in achieving a sense of wholeness and balance in all aspects of their lives, including your spiritual well-being

Relationship Coaching for Conscious Uncoupling (Separation With Integrity)

If you’re separating or have decided to previous separate and you want it to be cleaner, kinder, and less chaotic for all involved, coaching turns Conscious Uncoupling principles into real agreements and conversation plans.

We build:

  • Aligned values defining a new relationship that does not include a Couple Bubble

  • Boundaries that reduce contact conflict

  • Scripts for difficult logistics and fairness conversations

  • Emotion-regulation strategies for rupture moments

  • Decision systems to avoid endless re-litigation

I have seen the success of previous couples liking each other again, seeing the benefit of the new relationship dynamic, and supporting dependents and elderly in profound ways that support both of their shared values in a beautiful way. This also benefits everyone by having less collateral damage, more stability, and a clearer path forward.

Relationship Coaching for Co-Parenting in Blended Homes

Whether you’re blending households, redefining new family roles, or building a new “family system,” co-parenting blending requires predictable collaboration—especially when emotions run high.

Coaching helps you reduce friction with:

  • Compassionate & usable co-parent agreements

  • Scheduling and handoff systems that bring calm to all & prevent chaos

  • Conflict rules and repair routines

  • Kid-centered communication that limits triangulation

These provide positive outcomes for all. Providing smoother transitions, better consistency of care, and fewer adult fights spilling into kids’ nervous systems that would result in them requiring more therapeutic support later in life.

Relationship Coaching With Estrangement-Aware Family Support

Estrangement can be painful, confusing, and emotionally explosive. Coaching can help you navigate it with clarity and consent—without pressure to “perform reconciliation.”

We focus on:

  • Your boundaries and values (what you will/won’t tolerate)

  • Communication planning (including how to respond to contact attempts)

  • Understanding family dynamics without mind-reading

  • Decision-making that protects emotional safety

  • Co-existing with conflict without escalating the spiral

Outcome: calmer choices, less uncertainty, and stronger self-trust.

Relationship Coaching Is For You If…

You want support that is:

  • Not high risk with your mental health symptoms

  • Practical and structured (not vague advice)

  • Nervous-system aware (calmer communication under stress)

  • Consent-forward (especially for intimacy/sexual communication topics)

  • Focused on measurable progress& goal attainment ‍
